A Challenge for your Tuesday:
When you have a thought, think nothing of it. One of the biggest contributing factors to stress is excess thinking!

Excess thinking keeps us in a state of problem solving or constantly striving creating more and more goals to the point we miss out on the beauty in our life right now. Mindfulness Meditation is not about stopping your thoughts but rather being aware enough to not be hijacked by them. Thoughts are not a problem, it’s when we start elaborating on them we often create a judgement about them they become a problem as it narrows our focus and moves us toward the “RED ZONE”

Constant judging takes up valuable territory in our mind leaving little space left for us to simply pay attention to “right now” We may even miss what breath we are on right now, are you taking a short breath in? or a long breath in? Excess thinking is caused by having a judgement about the first thought ~ today when you have a thought think nothing of it and simply come back to what’s happening right now.

Know that you’re breathing in. Know that your breathing out.

Transform elaboration of thought which often has you “doing more” to elaboration of feeling your breath and your body “being” more just by “Non elaboration of thought”

ie When I have a thought simply state to yourself
“Ah how interesting a thought of……….. I don’t need to build any stories about this thought or to add anything more to it”

    This is one of the ways to “be mindful”
