NRG AT WORK
Corporate Mindfulness & Workplace Wellbeing Programs

People spend most of their waking hours at work. Life happens there too – grief, loss, pressure, the accumulative stress.

Workplaces cannot carry all that each individual maybe going through. What they can offer is one practical thing –  a way for their people to notice what is happening and respond with a little more steadiness, ease and learn how to take better care of themselves and each other.

Twenty years of running a business & thirty years as a qualified RN / Trauma Health Professional has taught me what the clinical research confirms — sustained pressure without support is not sustainable. What happens at home follows people to work and what happens at work follows people home.

It shows up in their bodies, their sleep, their relationships and eventually in the work itself.

NRG at Work programs are designed for more than ticking the Mental Health in the workplace  box. They have come about as  I have sat with enough people –  in clinical settings, in training rooms, in one-to-one sessions –  to offer Mindful Tools that someone can use immediately at work and home.

NRG programs have an  evidence-based, trauma-aware framework and tailored to the people in the room. Delivered on-site across Queensland or live online for remote and regional teams and offer extended outreach 1:1 Mindful Mentorship and support. Especially where Trauma both past and present is impacting on their health, work and home life.

Delivered  by Tammy Williams – a Registered Nurse and Certified Clinical Trauma Health Professional with over 30 years of experience in health, emergency services, alcohol, other drugs and addiction recovery and trauma counselling  and workplace wellbeing.

Every program is tailored to your organisation, your people and your operational reality.

WHO NRG AT WORK PROGRAMS SUPPORT :

Organisations reach out for many reasons, a critical incident, a leadership team running on empty, finding it hard to find or keep staff, or simply a recognition that the people doing the hardest work need better support.

NRG at Work programs are grounded in neuroscience and trauma-aware practice and a lot of ‘on the ground experience in real life’ . Every session is designed for the specific people in the room, their roles, pressures and what is currently happening for them. Tammy works with a small number of organisations at a time. As does her team – as all of us are still on the ground doing our clinical and teaching work. If you are looking for volume delivery to large groups there are providers we have some experienced NRG Trained Mindfulness Teachers who enjoy key note speaking. Extended Support & The 1:1 Work

Most people who come through an NRG at Work program eventually want to go further.

The group session opens up opportunities to explore and develop further skills. The 1:1 work is where individual needs can get  addressed more specifically  — at their own pace, in the privacy of 1:1 sessions, in their own time, without an audience.Tammy offers private Mindful Mentoring sessions for individuals navigating burnout, grief, life transition, trauma or the particular weight of caring roles. In person on the Sunshine Coast or live online. Mindful Mentoring is not psychological therapy – although you do receive therapeutic benefit. It sits alongside those things, and many people find it complements their existing support. After thirty years in clinical settings Tammy has a deep respect for the work psychologists, counsellors and other allied health professionals such as occupational therapists, psychotherapists do. This work is different in approach — yet there maybe some similarities in evidenced based foundations – and for many people the blend of physical / somatic based and Mindful Mentorship is exactly what they needed.

NRG at Work programs that focus on Trauma Recover & Support or Training Programs are kept deliberately small for quality care.

However we do offer keynote appointments and have several Mindfulness Teachers with different presentation styles.

Tammys focus is on therapeutic value and training – however does and has been invited to Teach at Festivals & Conferences (- it is not your every day power point presentation however – it is practical, often creative where useful and integrative)

If you are looking for high-volume delivery to hundreds of people at once and require power point type presentations we have other NRG Team members that are available.

Yes. On-site delivery across Queensland including Mackay, Moranbah, Emerald, Gladstone and surrounding areas. All programs also available live online for remote sites and FIFO workforces.

Group programs work well for teams wanting shared tools and a common language around wellbeing. The 1:1 Mindful Mentoring Program is for individuals wanting private, personalised support at their own pace. Many people do both.

Mindfulness Coaching involves addressing key areas, working toward a specific change or skill (generally centred around the Pillars of Mindfulness & specific life examples). It tends to be structured around what you want to achieve and how to get there. Generally 3-5 Sessions.

Mindfulness Mentoring :

Mentoring meets you exactly where you are at in that moment. It draws on lived experience and clinical knowledge to support someone through a particular chapter of life. It is less structured than coaching and more responsive — working with what is actually present rather than a predetermined plan. We use both body, mind, and build on inner resources to address what ever is pulling on the attention the most – The Mindful Mentoring Program at tammywilliams.com.au is this kind of work. Personal, practical and grounded in 30 years of clinical and teaching experience.

These sessions are specifically designed for people carrying trauma, PTSD, complex grief or nervous system dysregulation. The approach is slower, more body-based and more attuned to what safety means for each individual. It draws on Tammy’s clinical background as a Registered Nurse and Certified Clinical Trauma Health Professional — not a general wellness approach. It is not therapy or psychological treatment. It works alongside those things and uses an array of modalities – customised to what the individual needs.
