The mind governs our perception of the world , therefore it makes good sense to look at what we feed it.  Brain and Belly is highly connected and can really influence the quality of our life. Our Yoga & Mindfulness Practice has an impact on our eating habits and our eating habits effect our Yoga and definitely our state of mind. Great news is there is ways the two can really enhance each other to manage our stress levels and maintain optimal health and healing when required. A mantra that has stuck with me “You are not what you eat, you are what you absorb” (from Lee Heron – a member of our Teacher Training Facilitation Team)

One of my clinical roles is offering consultations/training sessions in Yoga & Mindfulness Therapy not only within my role Yoga NRG , also for a Private Health Program in Noosa – Noosa Confidential which I’m extremely passionate about and grateful for as I absolutely love working in this environment combining multi modalities and most of all seeing the amazing results of Allied Health Professionals all working together. I feel one of the biggest influences in creating these great results Ive witnessed such as improvements in energy levels, skin, clarity of mind,  I feel is definitely to do with Mindfulness & Nutrition!

We are lucky to be hosting Talita Sheedy (qualified Naturopath , Yoga Teacher and Author) who I initially worked with at NC.  We are offering a  One Hour Workshop – Nutrition for Optimal Health –  opened up to the public.  Talita will also be offering a limited number of One On One Consultations (more info below) Talita,  is also part of our Facilitation Team for our Yoga Teacher Training (those enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training can attend this workshop free of charge and others is just $55.

It’s always inspiring to see the big changes that take place in people who are doing Yoga Teacher Training.  So much goes into this program to ensure the bigger picture of health & fitness is considered. Generally people find Yoga and especially Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher Training at the right time in their life (or rather it finds them) and without a doubt I feel its a real game changer when it comes to the rest of their life.

Peoples energy levels pick up, their skin starts to look great (a yoga glow) and they have a lot more mental clarity in order to cope with lifes daily challenges, make decisions more in line with what they need and perhaps can understand why and how things work (or turn out like they do) This program highlights the ripple effect yoga can have on health healing and our food intake. We also include Ayurveda (which is the sister science to Yoga) where you look at your own personal constitution and constitutions of those you love or spend time with – this really does help to understand the interconnections between how we are made up physically, mentally and emotionally.

What to expect from this upcoming one hour workshop and PRIVATE CONSULTATIONS :

Nutrition via wholefood eating is THE MOST sustainable way we can support and improve our health. While we work on the physical fitness of our health through yoga and exercise, it is the food we eat that supports the foundations that results in abundant health. From the little things of not waking tired nor being reliant on that coffee for energy, to preventing and treating chronic health conditions. We need to look after our WHOLE body, that being the external, internal as well as the spiritual mind. Yoga and correct eating (for YOUR needs) is the perfect combination to achieve those health goals, no matter big or small. 
The consultations available identify what your body is lacking and what nutritional needs are required for you to change and improve your emotional and physical health (you will be asked to bring with you a 3 day intake log – preferably to complete prior) . Your current food habits will be looked at as well as details of digestion, stress, body demands from physical or emotional stressors. Then dietary tips, foods, supplements & herbs (if required) will be recommended so you can dive into getting more out of your dietary intake, yoga practice and overall day.
