Special Yin Yoga for Winter Guest Teacher Class with Suzie Kellet
(Senior Teacher / Yin Yoga Teacher Trainer with Yoga NRG)

Winter is the most “yin” time of year.  As we move into fewer daylight hours and colder temperatures, we can feel the pull to hibernate from the activities we enjoyed in the warmer months, leaving us feeling a little more stagnant and lower in energy.   

 

This feature class will explore yin yoga postures that honour, nourish and support the physical, mental and energetic qualities of the colder winter months with a focus on the Kidney and Urinary Bladder meridians and Water elements to support this active time of rest.  Included is a gentle weaving of mindfulness to support and nourish your practice. 

 

We will also explore ways to modify the yin yoga postures to adapt to your body when needing to support injuries or compromised tissues.

This full length LSD Yoga Class is only run once a year – it’s something unique that the luxury of taking time gives you .

Long Slow Deep feature class will nourish the hips, heart, spine & mind. There is a little appetiser of some core strengthening & spinal lengthening . We will use the long slow deep stretches to move into a state of Mindfulness Meditation with options to use props to rest or options to feel a little more stretch. 

 

The intention & additional meditations offered will allow a turning inward , calming the mind and creating space.
