Mindfulness for yr Monday ~

Remember all the times you were brought to your knees helped create more stability and ease.
At the time it may feel you are not doing enough.
It may feel unfamiliar this idea of backing off.
Taking a chance and putting your knees down.
Helps you experience new territory , new ground.
Nothing to do with showing off your ability. A willingness to learn true support from humility.
As a teacher It starts from showing up even when no one else is there.
An eagerness to share what has helped you , to want to share yoga everywhere.
Regardless of how many come to your class.
If you base your value on numbers it will not last.
Remember humility is a lesson in itself. You are no better than or less than anyone else.
Even when you realise you are somehow better than you were before.
Never think you are too good to put your knees on the floor nor to sweep it!

Inspired by my time sweeping floors in the fruit n veg department of Magees Supermarket Bowen. Along with the Niyama of yoga called saucha (cleanliness) and my current love affair with my Dyson vacuuming meditation!
Love & gratitude to those who have taught and continue to teach the value of maintaining the foundations. And to those who give us the tools to find them more enjoyable by making them a ritual.
Placing things in a special way, is the meaning behind Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga . Yoga starts from the time you ‘wake up’
