72 year old Yoga Teacher with Parkinsons has a lot to teach us all about Self Confidence & Support

Heather 72 years of age during her Yoga NRG Teacher Training (on bottom)
A Sutra for your Sunday (but before I go further this dear yogi Heather💖 on the bottom holding me up was 72years old with Parkinson’s )
There’s nothing better for your sense of self confidence and self trust than actually giving something a go! Not thinking about it, talking about it , but actually doing it . Despite thoughts of I’m too old, not good enough, I have too many things wrong with me. Truth is you have ALOT more right with you. You may just happen to help someone else just from giving something a go . Even years after….you never know just how long the ripple effect from your bravery lasts or how far it spreads.
~ inspired by this photo memory of dear Heather who at the age of 72 did her Yoga NRG Teacher Training & attended our NRG Retreats . Heather had Parkinson’s Disease & she did not let that or her age stop her!
That moment was an inspirational moment . I initially was worried , she looked at me and smiled and said “We can do it” !
There was support above below all around and that’s what made it special. Not the pose but the process of learning how we all feel when we are supported.
This popping up along with attending a Conference this week on Trauma ; I’m reminded of the importance of finding ways to support those “I can actually do it” neural pathways.
Yoga was mentioned repeatedly as one of the top treatment recommendations when it comes to trauma recovery, more on that down the track)
